I've had a bit of an overhaul over my DA account. For a long time it has annoyed me that there was no name changing facility or even that deleting an account was impossible. When I first came here, I didn't expect that anyone would actually look at my drawings much less favourite them. My plan was to use my account as an online art dump where I could review my progression and be inspired by other people's artworks - faving away happily.
I'm still very much inspired by other people's artworks, but I was totally unprepared to become a fanartist. It's not something I've ever done before.
Thus the meaning of my account changed from it's original intent - and I rather wished I'd chosen a different name, as I wanted to keep my fanart separate from my original art (at the time of signing up to DA, I'd just completed a comic of my own.)

I've also changed jobs and started a PhD. I don't do much 3D any more, and my 2D is very basic, so the fanart was a handy device for practicing, practicing, practicing hand drawing. New job + Phuud has left me with no spare time or energy for drawing comics alas (though I am still animating.)

This name change thing is well timed, I have for a long time been seriously considering having to "delete" my account. (DA won't let you delete, so I'd have had to storage or delete all my artworks to make an empty account.)

The intention is that when I have raised the quality of my art to a standard I am happy with, I may start drawing another comic (and I need to think of a cool story, that's probably the main thing stopping me doing a comic, I've not got a story I'm happy with either) but eventually I hope to start a separate DA account for original work.

That's a long way off though! For now this account will be my dodgy fanart dumping ground.

Also, I've cleared out and storaged half of my artwork here. Sorry, but the sight of all the duff artworks was starting to wind me up. I still have plenty of duff artworks on show, just less of them!
